Randy Lee:
Guitar Artist • Instructor • Clinician
Ft. Worth native Randy Lee has been playing guitar and singing for 33 years. He received his
formal education from Tarrant County Junior College and the University of Texas at Arlington, then
proceeded to study voice with acclaimed vocal coach Betty Pierce in Dallas. Having taught for 30 years,
Randy takes credit for teaching dozens of "active pickers" around the U.S., and also for writing
several instruction books. His books Scales Over Chords and Everything About Playing Blues are the hottest selling
guitar instruction books in the music industry.
Randy has travelled throughout the U.S, Canada and Mexico performing in almost any musical context
imaginable: stage bands, dance groups, road shows, duos and trios, and as a single. His musical range includes:
pop, country, rock, jazz, blues, classical, and adult contemporary. Since his first recording session at sixteen
years old, he has recorded on demos, jingles, two solo albums of his own and as a sideman on numerous other
albums; he is currently working on an Internet project.
Randy leads his band Bottom
Line Group, and maintains a full studio
of guitar students at Brook Mays Music in
Southlake, Texas. All of Randy's students sign
off on a
teaching agreement,
which describes the responsibilities of both student
and teacher.
